When you buy Hardware
Hardware Purchase Terms
Cover buying neckbands and base stations: delivery, payment and ownership.
Buying from an eShepherd Partner? The Partner's terms of sale may apply to the purchase.
Read the Hardware Purchase TermsLegal
Our terms are organised around what you do: buying Hardware, keeping it connected, and using Gallagher eShepherd™ through someone else's account. A few other documents sit alongside them.

Read the Terms of ServiceWhen you use someone else's account
The basic rules for using eShepherd, for people who use it through an account held by someone else, such as farm staff, contractors, or participants in a funding or research programme.
Everyone who uses eShepherd this way accepts them the first time they log in.
Read the User TermsThese give more detail on specific commitments and on data. If they differ from our terms, "Which document comes first?" below explains which applies.
How the Gallagher Group handles personal information, including yours and your staff's.
Read the Privacy StatementWhat's covered if your Hardware has a defect, for how long, and how to make a claim, wherever you bought it.
Read the Warranty PolicyHow long we support the Service and each Hardware model, and the notice and support we commit to when a product changes or is discontinued.
Read the CommitmentFor EU customers
For customers in the European Union, or whose Hardware is registered and used there: your rights to access and share data from eShepherd under the EU Data Act.
Read the EU Data AnnexFor EU customers
What data the Hardware and Service generate, and how you can access, share and delete it.
Read the EU Data Act information sheetEach set of terms covers its own subject, so they rarely overlap. The Terms of Service is the main agreement for the Service. Where a policy gives you greater rights than our terms, those rights apply, and for EU customers the EU Data Annex applies if it differs.
The Gallagher company for your country. It sells to you, bills you and is your main point of contact. One combined liability limit applies across the Gallagher Group companies under the Hardware Purchase Terms and the Terms of Service. If you buy from an eShepherd Partner, the Partner's terms of sale apply to that purchase.
When you order Hardware, you accept the Hardware Purchase Terms. When you set up your account, you accept the Terms of Service. Everyone who uses eShepherd through an account held by someone else, such as your staff and contractors or participants in a funding programme, accepts the User Terms when they first log in.
We'll tell you in advance about any change that materially reduces your rights (unless the law requires a change sooner), and you can cancel before it takes effect. Price changes need at least 60 days' notice. The Terms of Service explains how this works.
You own your farm and livestock information. We own the technical data the system generates, although the law (for example, in the EU) may give you rights to access some of it. The Terms of Service and Privacy Statement explain how each is used and shared. If you use eShepherd through someone else's account, the User Terms explain where to find out how your data is handled.
We provide translations to help you. The terms were written in English, and if a translation differs, the English version applies, unless the law requires otherwise.
